Somehow we ended up with two April babies.....and since Daddy's an April "baby" too, it's a busy month for us! Ashleigh turned 5 last week, Daddy turned 31 today, and Aiden will be 2 in about a week! We've had cake aplenty this week, and Ashleigh's still opening gifts from her party! Here's their official birthday pics, and a family pic too, just for the fun of it!

I've been tagged.....
Kathy tagged me to post 7 random facts about myself, so here goes:
1-I love to write lists.....now if I could just follow them!
2-I'm addicted to downloading digital scrapbooking elements....its a disease I think!
3-I love the smell of fresh cut grass!---soooo can't wait to get some sod in the back yard soon, so we can cut it and smell it! ;-)
4-My fave "comfort" food is generic mac n cheese outta the box! (followed closely by anything chocolate, or citrus!)
5-I can't wait for season 2 of the Army Wives show to start!
6-For as much as I accomplish in a given day (or week), I procrastinate in a MAJOR way!
7-I'm in serious need of a new sweatshirt....appearantly the holey ragged one I'm wearing these days isn't very attractive......lol! (I've only had it for 8 years...its really new!)
Now, I'm gonna tag Dawn, Kristie and Korbyn!
Hope everyone is having a great Monday!

SCORE of the year!
Ok..so the year is still rather new, but I do believe I scored big enough today to make it the score of the year!
We were in Williams Sonoma (yeah, the cooking store) yesterday and I spotted a decorating kit that matches a cake pan I bought for Aiden's next birthday.....I picked it up and it said it was $3.99, down from $14, so I handed one to Erik to pay for, with some other stuff we were getting. He paid and I headed towards the door, not noticing what the total was.
We get home and unload and I grab the receipt out of the bag....the decorating kit rang up at 99cents...score! Then it hits me....this decorating kit is packaged in a most awesome tin. And they are only 99cents......99cents for a TIN? A pretty shinny metal tin?!
So I tell Erik that I'm going back tomorrrow (which meant today) and buying them all. He just looks at me funny and goes about his business......but I was serious!
I headed over there as soon as they opened today, and here's my score:
I paid $9.98 (including tax) for all ten of them! I'm SO excited that its pathetic really! (heck, I'm posting it on my blog...LOL!)
I plan to use them in my scraproom...I know one will hold rub ons, one will get some chipboard in it, and one will hold acrylic paints. Beyond that, I'm not sure, but I KNOW I can find something to put in them!! (And we'll enjoy the candy out of them, since I sure as heck don't need enough stuff to make 10 sets of car & truck shaped cakes...heck, I'll be lucky to use all of the 1st set!).
Ok...thanks for reading..I'll stop babbling and go clean the bathroom now!

Ok....the story of the bent fork.....
I know I promised it a few days ago...I was hoping to get a pic for my post when Erik and I went to lunch today, but, lo and behold, I ordered finger foods!
I can't remember exactly when it started, or how exactly I noticed it, but its been a regular occurence for the last several months.
Everytime we go out to eat, it seems that I, and only I, end up with a bent fork. EVERY time. It doesn't matter where...we've been to several different restaurants in town. It does matter if it's lunch or dinner, or even breakfast out! It doesn't matter if its a metal fork, or a plastic one....and it doesn't matter if I'm out with Erik & the kids, or the gals from MOMS Club, or other friends.
It seems that the ONLY place I can eat with a straight fork, you know, with no tines sticking out in a funny direction, is at HOME. Granted, I love our new silverware (shiny with brushed handles), and it was pricey, so it better be straight....but geez, how weird can my luck be?!
You know how most places wrap the silverware in a napkin and bring one "wrap" for each person at the table?! Not once, but twice, I've taken the stack of four "wraps" and passed them all out...then when everyone opens them, I, just me, have the ONE bent fork at the table! One time I switched my "wrap" with Aiden's, at the last second (right before our plates were put down), and guess what!?!....I STILL got the bent fork. I can't even try to not get it....its just fate!
So far, places that I can recall getting the bent fork include: Chili's, El Kiosco's (our local fave Mexican place), El Toro Loco (a new Mexican place on the base), Cici's Pizza, Olive Garden, Nacho Mama's, O' Charleys, Myabi Kyoto's Japanese Steak House, Ruby Tuesday's, Mc Donalds & Taco Bell---YES, I got bent plastic forks (or in Taco Bell's case, a bent plastic spork!).
I wish I'd have had a camera on hand at each place...it would be fun to document all the bent forks with pics.....but, alas, the idea didn't strike me until recently!
To tell you how "bad" this is now--even Ashleigh, at just 4 1/2yrs old, asks me if I got the bent fork when we go out to eat! She remembers every time too....and it makes me laugh!
So...now, the story is out.....maybe my luck will turn back?! I've loved the adventure, but it really IS annoying to eat with a bent fork all the time!
Hope you giggled a little.....I think it'd be funnier with pics, but alas, none available....and I'm not bending one of our nice forks to get one!!!
Now....back to regularly scheduled programming!
